Dear [fname],
Despite many advances in kidney cancer treatment, the annual incidence and mortality rate for kidney cancer has increased for more than six decades. In the U.S; when compared to Breast, Melanoma, and Prostate cancer, Kidney cancer has the highest mortality rate, despite having the lowest projected incidence. Yet kidney cancer research receives less Federal funding then all of the other cancer research programs. By making a tax free donation today you can help Dr. Michael B. Atkins, deputy chief of the division of hematology/oncology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and his team of exceptional physician-scientists in their research efforts to find innovative approaches for overcoming kidney cancer. If you have already donated, thank you, if you have not donated I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider donating to this very worthy cause where 100% of your donation will go directly to kidney cancer research.

a conscious endeavor.”

With your help and support I will meet my mission to raise $100k for kidney cancer research by finishing marathons on all 7 continents. 100% of all of the donations made will go directly to kidney cancer research as I pay for all of the expenses and do all of the work myself. If your company has a Matching Gifts Program I encourage you to use the Program to help in the fight against kidney cancer. Your generous tax-deductible donation will go to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Biologic Therapy Research Program and will be placed in the Dr. Michael Atkins Kidney Cancer research fund in memory of John Rebello. The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centers Tax ID# is 042-103-881.

Click here to make a secure donation by Credit Card today. To ensure that 100% of credit card donations go to kidney cancer research I will write a personal check to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center that will cover the credit card fees for all donations made on line.

As you can see from the 1999 to 2008 donation sources we have now brought kidney cancer awareness to 23 US states [green] and 1 foreign country. We recently received a donation from the great state of Nebraska, which brought the total US states that have donated to 23 – thank you to the donor from Nebraska. To help bring awareness to the other 27 US states [Red] and as many foreign countries as possible I would greatly appreciate it if you would forward the newsletter to family, friends, and people you know who live in those states. This is a great opportunity for us to let people throughout the US and around the world know about the efforts that are being made to find a cure for kidney cancer. We are close to coloring all of the New England states green, we only need donations from the states of Maine and Vermont. If you know someone in those states please forward the newsletter to them so that they can become a part of this very worthy cause.

I have registered for the May 30, 2009 Stockholm, Sweden marathon and I am looking forward to the challenge of finishing my 11th worldwide marathon, at age 73, for kidney cancer research. Last year there were over 100 runners from the US who participated in the Stockholm marathon – there were over 18,000 runners who participated in the race. I will start my 18-week [750 mile] Stockholm marathon-training program on January 20th - I will keep you updated on my training.

Nutrimart
Nutrimart is a local San Diego, family owned and operated business. Owners Egon and Debora have been involved in the fitness and nutrition industry for over 14 years.
Nutrimart’s roots reach back to 1994 when Egon began his business by selling supplements in his brother’s Sports Collectible Store in downtown San Diego. Nutrimart soon experienced a growing clientele and demand for increased product selection. In 2001, Egon and Debora married, and together they moved the business to its current location on 7th Avenue in downtown.
Over the past five years, Nutrimart expanded into the Hillcrest and Ranch San Diego communities. In late October 2008, they were blessed with the opportunity to open a small show room. This store front is located in the front of their warehouse to better serve their customers in the Irvine area. All those in the Orange County area are welcome to see for yourselves many of the unadvertised specials offered to walkin traffic. Nutrimart is committed to helping the community that has wholeheartedly supported them. In response to a customer’s suggestion that his “Loyalty Points” be donated to a good cause, Nutrimart took the initiative to identify a worthy organization to help support. Nutrimart is a proud sponsor of Bob Rebello’s Worldwide Marathons for Kidney Cancer Research, founded in loving memory of Bob’s brother, John.
I would not be able to publish my monthly newsletters without the very creative Graphic design work of Christian Riggs, President of Riggs Creative Group. Christian has not only given his time and design expertise to the newsletter but he also designed and maintains my website.
Listed below are my corporate sponsors who have generously donated their “Best in Class” products and services to help me meet my mission. Without their generous support it would be very difficult for me to continue my mission.
Have a great day,
Bob Rebello
